Opening Message from Protector: Okaasan

We are the Friends of the Fissure. We heeded the call to the desert, drawn to the deep wound in the earth, the fissure where Yeesha spoke to us. She made of us a "request," to seek the journey.

There are many in the Cavern community who feel lost amid a cacophony of voices, calling each to join this bevin or that guild. The new guilds created by the DRC are struggling to find their way. Within each guild there is a chance to demonstrate the true greatness that is at the heart of the cavern community, but there is danger also. While most will seek to serve the good of all, there will always be some who seek power for its own sake.

The Friends of the Fissure do not ask that you believe, only that you listen. We do not ask that you walk the path with us, only that you do not block the way for those wish to follow. There are many paths and no one path is necessarily better than another. We respect all paths, all journeys, and only ask that you respect ours.

Walk with us for however long you wish and share with us your journey as we share ours with you.
